St. Louisans have sought out Spiro's for the lemony avgolemono
soup and the Famous Spiro's Greek salads.
Appetizers include Greek favorites like flaming Kasseri cheese (Saganaki) and
pan-fried squid (Kalamarakia).
Dinner entrees include chicken, pork or lamb kebabs, grape leaves stuffed with
beef, rice, lamb
and spices with a white wine sauce (dolmades) and, when in season, pan-fried
smelts (Marides).
